Ecology and the sustainability of its resources are now not just political issues, but much more of a personal matter. That is why we at Liemont respect and achieve the sustainability goals of our customers with great commitment. A current green project (project period November 2022 — January 2023) is that of Bühler Group, manufacturer of innovative solutions for the food and feed industry as well as for high-tech materials. The company is also the market leader in developing sustainable alternatives such as meat and fish substitutes.

For the complete solution for the protein value chain, Liemont was responsible for the installation of an incinerator for organic by-products within the internal Buehler responsible for application laboratories. We also supported the by-pass upcycling project with steel construction, pipeline systems, containers and material handling.

Burnt biological “residues” include, for example, bran or the shells of cocoa beans. The energy generated is efficiently converted into the Buehler Energy system returned, saving significant energy costs.

The company aims to reduce energy, waste and water in its customers' value chains by 50% by 2025. The goal of Buehler is to create “innovations for a better world” — and we at Liemont are happy to help!
